Raag Hamsadhwani - Indian Classical Music, An Introduction
Raag Hamsadhwani Information, Its Basics and Tutorial Exercise:
This Raag comes from Carnatic Music or South Indian music but it is also popular in North Indian Music. Just like raag bhupali it has only five notes. So it is a pantatonic Raag. The thaat name is Bilawal. All notes in this raag are shudh , Ma and Dha are excluded. This raag is popular because its fingering is very easy. Hence it suits beginners as well.
Raag Notes are :
SRGPNS' (Ascending)
S' NPGRS ( Descending)

Time : Evening
This lesson is meant for beginners only who just started playing flute. So I will provide simple exercises for practice. As we progress we will also learn intermediate level exercises.
First Part
Start this exercise by playing ascending and descending part . Play each note one at a time and for 3 to 4 seconds. Then start the following alankar.
